LOOK: FishCoRe Project’s Sub-component 2.1 goes to Occidental Mindoro for Livelihood Scoping
The DA-BFAR’s FishCoRe Project went to the remote areas of Occidental Mindoro to conduct a scoping for the livelihood initiatives under subcomponent 2.1 identified for the target fisherfolk communities in the province.
The municipalities of Lubang and Looc, both in Occidental Mindoro, were visited by the team to ensure that these livelihood projects will effectively supply the needs of the beneficiaries in the said municipalities.
The sub-component 2.1, which falls under the main component 2 or the Modern and Resilient Livelihood Investments, mainly aims to help fisherfolk and those from the coastal communities in finding alternative forms of livelihood through trainings, matchings grants, and vocational training programs that can open new opportunities for them and their families.
